During August and September, Cambridge-based artists Vic Dawson and Julie Sleaford 'aim to gather research material that explores the mysterious and unexplainable, probing the relationship between uncertainties and belief systems', in a project inspired by the SPR.
Their statement of intent includes: 'Intrigued by the late nineteenth century involvement of Cambridge University scholars in the inception of the Society for Psychical Research, they are using their residency to explore the correlation of light to reality, the tension between presence and absence and how our fears and desires shape perception.'
