This modern-day case particularly involved a single mother, Vanessa Mitchell, who felt after several years of phenomena she could neither live there or responsibly let it for residential purposes. She ultimately started renting it to paranormal groups for investigations.
John Fraser has completed a lengthy (7,500 Word) report on this 'haunting' with collected witness testimony from Vanessa, other residents and visitors to the house at the time, and also from a significant number of subsequent investigators. This talk discusses his findings and whether there is any truth in the phenomena behind the national headlines.
John Fraser is currently a member of the Council and the Spontaneous Cases Committee of the SPR. He has previously been Vice Chair (Investigations) of The Ghost Club and has written Ghost Hunting: A Survivor's Guide (History Press 2010) . Recently (2015) he has been conducting in-depth research into the well-known and controversial phenomena at The Cage a former 'holding cell' in St Osyth in Essex.
