Participant in a study investigating emotional responsiveness and anomalous intuition at the University of Northampton For researchers looking to explore psychical research and parapsychological questions in an academic setting finding funding has always been a challenge. The SPR Research Fund has long been called upon for assistance, often serving as a lifeline for graduate students and early career researchers by supporting rigorous research projects that could not proceed without this help.

Over the years the SPR Research Fund has helped dozens of students in the UK to obtain their PhD qualification and start on careers. Many other projects have been funded at universities througout the world and in any given year the Research Fund is supporting between three and six projects.
