6.30 p.m. - DISCUSSION FORUM - The early SPR philosophers: their message for today.

Three philosophical giants – Henry Sidgwick, William James, Henri Bergson – honoured our Society by delivering outstanding presidential addresses, which were featured in the ‘president’s letters’ in Issues 80-83 of Paranormal Review. They grappled with problems that are still largely unresolved. In this meeting, their forward-looking views will be discussed, together with a review of what advances have been made in the 100 years following their work. John Poynton will lead the discussion, to be held at the SPR headquarters, 1 Vernon Mews. Refreshments will be served
